Libbie's Happy Place

Libbie was so excited when she passed her test and became a tour guide at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. It brought her immense joy to teach others about nature and to instill in others a love of all things living and a respect for taking care of our natural world.

She lived for the outdoors. She giggled with delight when she found a tiny, crawling creature. She was happiest when her hands were dirty. She was her best self in the garden or walking in the woods or collecting seashells at the ocean.

My mom was so proud to don her nature walking vest and tour guide name badge. I just know it would bring a smile to her face to know that donations in her memory were going straight into the woods.
